Overnight Oatmeal

Oatmeal is the ultimate comfort breakfast for those chilly mornings in the deep of winter. But what about enjoying oats in the midst of summer without breaking a sweat?

Oats are soaked and refrigerated overnight in liquid+yogurt and absorb the liquid by morning. There is absolutely NO COOKING involved. The addition of Chia Seeds gives it a incredibly creamy texture, and keep you full till lunch. You can make them in any type of container ie. jar, bowl, mug…and hold up well for travelling. Versatility allows for endless toppings to make this the most convenient, delicious breakfast. Enjoy!

Basic Recipe:

(serves one)

1/4 cup Rolled Oats

1/4 cup Yogurt   (I use Greek)

1/3 cup any milk

1/2 Banana, chopped into small pieces

1 1/2 teaspoon Chia Seeds

pinch of salt

Optional- 1 teaspoon sugar, cinnamon

Directions:

The night before, combine all all ingredients and refrigerate. 

Top with fresh fruit, nut butter, and something crunchy.

(Fresh Fruit can be added on-top the night before or in the morning)
