The other day at the store, I picked up some Goat Cheese.
I haven’t ever bought it because my mom isn’t fond of the strong flavor. This is one of the very few foods we don’t share taste buds for- but no more! I won’t resist because its too creamy, too tangy, and too decadent to give up!
And so, it made my salad a winner today! Romaine lettuce, leftover roasted vegetables (with homegrown tomatoes, zucchini, and eggplant!), Olive Oil, Dijon, and Honey dressing, all topped with the GOAT!
Plus two slices of bread smeared with homemade lemon hummus. (This was my first ever attempt at hummus, but man..its good)
As promised, a peak at my bread-making skills.
(Not the best pictures, but it was an all-day process that led into the night.) This is before it was baked, as when I went to score it, the top fell a little. But no fret, because…..
The crust is a bit hard, but other than that (which can be fixed the next time), the taste was on point. Everything I like in a bread it had; all the sunflower seeds, nutty flavor, and moisture. Oh how is it so moist? [Hopefully, this will allow it to stay fresh for longer.] I have already planned my future meals around this wonderful creation, especially tomorrow… for my favorite sandwich ever!
